Closeup: [link] My interpretation of Lúthien Tinúviel from J.R.R. Tolkien's Tale of Beren and Lúthien. Unlike the elves in the movie she's wearing vibrant colours to reflect that it was the spring of Elvenkind in MiddleEarth (the first age), and she is often depicted wearing blue. The jewel on her headdress is supposed to be the Silmaril that Beren and Luthien took from the Crown of Morgoth. The reference photo is here: [link] I made her features a little more Elven as well as many other additions as you can see. I'm happy with how the final picture turned out, I've been working on this on and off since December. Prismacolor pencils, 20x30cm
I think it was a brilliant choice to use Monica Bellucci as Luthien, the most beautiful woman in the world. Monica is gorgeous, and this drawing is just as gorgeous.
Beautiful Looks almost like a photograph. I especially love how u made the crown look actually metallic n shiny. Lots of people have trouble drawing jewelery without making them look flat.
