Scholarship for my summer project on quadratic reciprocity (group theory), whoo!

Actually speaking of which, I mostly use LJ for these sorta things these days so go watch me on there if you want.

Erm let's see. This year I started at UCanDance, the university dance club, doing Salsa (incl Rueda), Modern Jive, Merenge and Bachata (Bachata, MJ and Rueda I prefer to do). Part of the Rueda performance group they've started.
Also Kung Fu and Tai Chi. I learnt a few good exercises for my back and stuff from TC but I didn't carry on with that past the first term. Have continued KF though and am now Orange belt, and have a fair bit more muscle/flexibility.
Learning a little more German and also some Dutch and Afrikaans.
Grades for first semester were:
Multivariate Calculus and DE's- B+
Physics lab- A-
Quantum Mechanics- A (grr, scaled down)
Doing Complex variables, physics lab, and Electromagnetism this semester.
Oh and finally no longer depressed, new room with lots of space and cool flatmates. Theuns (requester of one of the recent drawings and person responsible for the dance/KF/Afrikaans things) and I broke up about 2 months ago, but we're very good friends *cuddles him*.
Now I must go nap before the KAOS 48hr party this weekend.

My old 2005 lappy was getting pretty useless, it had about an 8th of the space I need and was really slow, nevermind the overheating and broken CD drive :/

Just finished the second year of my 4 year physics/maths degree, got my grades recently which were:
Quantum mechanics A-
Electricity and Magnetism B-
Newtonian&Relativistic Mechanics B
Waves, Optics and Circuits B-
Algebra and Crytography A
Mathematical Logic A
Linear Algebra B
I'm pretty happy about the A- on quantum. And yay, on course for honours.
I start a summer paper on programming Matlab (a program that's used a lot for scientific calculations) at the start of January.

It snowed! At 4pm on Sat, just when I was going to a party that night haha, man it was cold at 4am. There was still snow on our lawn two days later. Postgrads are fun.
Must... study...
I found a good recipe for pasta peanut stir-fry, and maple apple crumble, I didn't even have to buy ingredients.
Also, I like steampunk, I just scored me a free waistcoat too. Any tips on making steampunk goggles would be appreciated, I gotta get me some junk to put on them

I would never have had an account if one hadn't have been bought for me because I really dislike dA's new prints system- I mean isn't it enough that they get 50% of the profit?
Good thing I didn't buy it too, because I wouldn't have even broken even.
